Herb’s dedication to his clients has led to his representation of two and sometimes three generations of small business owners and members of families in personal matters. His loyalty and care for them has led to their belief in his ability to assist them in serving their continuing legal needs.
Herb, the first in his family to go to college, is a graduate of Union College, where he earned entry to Phi Beta Kappa and went on to earn his law degree at the Yale School of Law. After time working in the public sector, Herb returned to his native New Jersey with his wife, Sheila, to raise their three children and build his private practice. In 1972, he started his solo practice in Glen Rock and in 1988 was joined by daughter, Deb.
Herb’s practice includes assisting clients in business formation, acquisition, sale and development, real estate purchase and sale, nonprofit law and contract review in all types of business areas.
Herb has taught Small Business Law at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a frequent attendee at the annual meetings of the American Society of Association Executives and Association Management Company Institute, where he hones his knowledge of nonprofit management and governance law.
Herb resides in Oakland with his wife, Sheila, the owner of Total Management Solutions, an association management company. When not at his desk, they spend time in Arizona with their grandson, Sam, a fan of the weather and Minecraft.
